On July 10th, the "Cold Chain Iron Sea Linkage Fresh Transport to the Global" Longgong Port to Shandong Port Agricultural Product Export New Channel Promotion Conference was successfully held, which deeply discussed the coordinated development of cold chain logistics multimodal transport and jointly promoted the construction of the cold chain logistics hub in southwestern Shandong to enter a new stage.

At the meeting, the responsible persons of Jinan Railway Logistics Center, Ronghui Import and Export Trading Co., Ltd., and Longgong Port made business presentations, showcasing the advantages of reducing costs and increasing efficiency through intermodal transportation of iron and water, adapting to the green development strategy, as well as the full industry chain matrix advantages of Jining Energy from coal supply chain to bulk commodity trading, logistics services to industrial empowerment, allowing customer enterprises to feel the "Jining Energy Speed". Su Zongyang, General Manager of the Multimodal Transport Center of Shandong Port Logistics Group, said that the core of the new channel lies in seamless connection. By integrating the overseas layout of Shandong Port with the inland network of Longgong Port, we have moved the "seaport" to the "doorstep" and truly achieved "one commission, worry free throughout the entire process".
As a hub for inland waterway transportation in southwestern Shandong, Longgong Port has partnered with Shandong Port Group to create a new export channel for agricultural products. Leveraging the advantages of "railway+sea transportation" multimodal transport, it has achieved a "one-stop" service for agricultural products from fields to overseas markets, promoting the upgrading of traditional agriculture to the full chain of "planting+processing+logistics+foreign trade". Wang Yalin, the main person in charge of Longgong Port, stated that Longgong Port is deeply responsive to the national "revolution railway" strategy and will soon officially launch the Longgong Port Huangdao cold chain train, with Jinxiang garlic cold chain transportation as the core and fixed weekly departures, to build an efficient logistics bridge for agricultural product exports in southwestern Shandong.
Relying on the unique advantages of railway transportation and combining with the "Public Iron and Steel" multimodal transportation system of Longgong Port, the cold chain freight transportation has shifted from road to railway, which not only effectively reduces the carbon emissions caused by road freight transportation, but also helps to build a green and low-carbon logistics system. At the same time, railway transportation has a large capacity, relatively low costs, stable prices, and is less affected by factors such as weather and traffic congestion. It has strong stability and can significantly reduce delays and losses in the transportation of goods, save logistics expenses for enterprises, improve overall operational efficiency, and greatly enhance the international market competitiveness of Jinxiang garlic, "said Li Youwen, the business manager of Longgong Port, to reporters.
Representatives from multiple garlic production and transportation enterprises in Jinxiang County participated in the exchange throughout the entire process, and expressed their expectations for the "acceleration of going global" brought by the new channel.
